Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden.  Exhibits re-create the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert Region.  Within the museum grounds, you will see more than 300 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants.  There are almost 2 miles of paths traversing 21 acres of beautiful desert.

San Xavier del Bac Mission

Construction started on this Franciscan Mission in 1783 and was completed in 1797.  It has been part of Spain, Mexico and now the United States.  Recently restored to its original glory, the mission has been called the "Sistine Chapel of North America."  an active Tohono O'odham Catholic parish, the church is open to viewing most days of the week.

Titan Missile Museum

Located in Green Valley, the Titan Missile Museum is a preserved nuclear missile silo.  It once held Titan II ICBMs.  Daily tours are offered of this relic of the Cold War.  The museum is operated by the Pima Air and Space Museum.

Tucson Botanical Gardens
